I want to be clear on the relation between the version DM and OS I'm running on my phone. My current DM is version 4.3.0.17, where as my Curve OS is 4.5.0.160. And sometimes when I try to load a non-OTA app onto my phone, then DM gives me an error somewhere along the lines of "no additional applications found". I'm positive that I'm doing everything correctly. Could this be due to an outdated or wrong DM that I'm using?
You need to have the PHONE OS installed on your computer as well as the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software. It sounds like you don't have the PHONE OS installed on the computer.
As to the Desktop Manager version numbers, 4.3 probably should work, but you would likely be better served to uninstall it and install verison 4.6. (Note that the version numbers do NOT have to match.)
