    All you have to do is compose an email and send it to this address - phonenumber@vtext.com if you have Verizon.

    Yes you can on some carriers, like tmobile USA.

    thank you.. it worked but i sent it to my cell number and replied to it and it came up not my cell number but my user mane from verizon.. how can i mask that? i just want my yahoo(thats what i use) to show up..

    also if vtext.com is verizon then whats the others? sprint etc...

    Compose an EMAIL not an SMS. Choose whatever email address on your BlackBerry that you want to send from.

    Type the persons address using the SMS Gateway for their specific phone carrier.
