Ok so i'm a total BB noob. I should be recieving my first BB tomorrow before 13.00(GMT). But there's one thing that is now starting to worry me...

What exactly is the addiction? I mean i've been addicted to phones and games before, but what is it with the BB? Can anyone put it into words? Is it the fact that your thumbs always need something to do? Or is it just knowing that you're constantly in touch with everyone via email??

    Can anyone explain it?

    Cheers

Two brain trusts from Canada eh! saw a niche for stable, secure, easy, wireless communication and convergence and set forth to create what is now the BlackBerry. By no means is the BlackBerry for everyone but for those who require email a rock solid OS and a device that just works what my could you ask for?

In an age where we want immediate gratification, it provides simple access to the world around us. Interent, email, chat, phone, throw in some PDA functions and people start to become dependent on it. Besides you look alot cooler in airports if your sporting one.

Put it this way, I give you 24 hours from the time you get your device to become addicted...

It's like falling in love, you don't know when it happens, it just happens, and you feel all warm and fuzzy inside! LMAO!

Navilyn is right - is is like falling in love - in the very beginning when all is wonderful and warm and fun and etc....

I must say - psychologically, I think it does have to do with being in contact ALL of the time and having that "connection". That being said, sometimes it can also be used to avoid the situation you're in....I truly think it has many psychological functions...fascinating really -

I am addicted to all gadgets but truly...nothing comes close to this adorable BB! It is in a league of its own Think about it.....what device has brought this much attention regarding people and their addiction to it (I suppose not counting video gaming - which is a different type of animal I think)...

    IMHO...

The bathroom is your secondary office. Lot's of important business can be conducted during that time with the help of your trusty Blackberry.

No where should be BB free....I agree, although i can get jealous at table when we are eating and my wife's BB goes off ....she also receives a hell a lot of SMS...might have to ban it from there....just to make me feel better....

    My BB feels lonely....

I use the excuse that it makes me look young and cool to my grandson. But if I were honest I would have to say it just takes over your life and it becomes your soul mate.

Of course, doesn't everyone believe their granny....he is 11 and I helped him build his own pc, bought him an MP3 player and loaded songs, take him fishing and play basketball "horse" and "pig" with him. And most importantly I let him watch movies on my Pearl........ what could be cooler than a granny like that.......???
