Anyone buy a BB from Amazon before? I am trying to activate one to try it out and it won't let me. I called VZW and check the ESN/MEID they couldn't pull it up. Does this mean the BB is stolen, phoney or whatever? I need some advice ASAP so I can get this fixed. I am close to just returning it.

Did you buy it direct from amazon or through Amazon Marketplace?

if its thru amazon wireless you should be fine, if its a regular seller, you might want to worry a bit.

My hubby got his 9700 via Amazon Wireless for 1 penny during the Xmas holidays. He added a new line to his ATT acct. and have no problem activating his phone.

I got my Curve on AmazonWireless. I payed 50 bucks for an upgrade and got a 100 dollar giftcard, so they paid me to get my phone. It was a great experience and you should have nothing to worry about.

When you opened it, was it sealed? Does it have the Verizon logo?

The phone itself wasn't in a little bag but neither was my 9550. It's in a legit box and it does have the VZW logo. I only buy ones with it.

Is that what the VZW logo is? It's a VZW branded BB?

As answered before, yes it is.
if its a proper verizon branded phone, with verizon splash screens, theres no reason why it shouldnt work. did you try going into a store in person and having them work on it?

I just checked and it does have the VZW splash screen. I will have to see if there is a store around this small town. Does it have to be a certain store? I know some can't do some things.

I think any Verizon authorized dealer can handle that kind of thing.
