What version of Outlook? What version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager?
If you have compatible versions, then you would need to set up the synchronization settings in BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
desktop manager 6.0.0.43 outlook 2007. I have recently upgraded my version of DM which looks diffrent the the previous version. When I click on the organizer tab on the left it brings up a page on the right to sync calandar, address book, task's and memo pad. But how do I know its going to get the info from my outlook? I already have a bunch of info setup on outlook and want to bring that to phone. I dont want to have the info in outlook over written with the stuff currently on my phone. I want the info on outlook added to the info i already have on my phone.
I could type it out step-by-step, but the best thing to do is on the DM6, in the upper right corner there is a question mark. Click the arrow and a list appears. Select the "how do I sync my organizer data."
The help will open and there is all the info on how to do it.
Best bet :D
To the OP: I'm running the same version of Desktop Manager and Outlook. I have mine set for a two way sync and to prompt me on conflicts. So if I have a John Smith on my Berry but not in Outlook, it will ask me what I want to do with him. Just dive into the settings before you sync and you'll be fine ;)

One more tip, I learned this one the hand way.
Shut Outlook down while configuring the Sync settings. I will fail if you have Outlook running.
Once your settings are configured, Outlook can be kept active while your Sync is in progress.
One other tip: have it confirm deletions. At least until you are comfortable with what it is doing.
