    Hi folks,

im new to all this blackberry stuff.

i own a 8350i and it has been flashed to boost mobile
im on the 50 dlls unlimited plan which includes unlimited data.

i downloaded facebook on my device but it says that my data service plan is not compatible with the application
and it wont let me chat with my bbm contacts either.

is that because boost's data plan is not a real data plan for blackberry?
or what seems to be the problem for you guys?

    thank you
    -Alan

Boost charges $60 for BB's unlimited plan. Call and make sure you have the plan for bb

You're using a non-Boost phone. If you use a Boost Mobile phone, there are no restriction issues.

The $60 dollar plan is for CDMA bb's, 8330 and 8530. The $50 dollar unlimited is for iDEN bb's with PTT. The 8350i is an IDEN Blackberry.

Boost only offers CDMA or iDen. Which iDen is obviously Nextel service.

I picked up the Incognito for my son for X-mas which is the $50 plan. All BB are $60 for 1st 6 months then drop -$5 every 6 months you make an on-time payment. Its a pretty good deal if you stay in one area. I unfortunately drive a truck and Boost/Nextel is a paper weight on the dash.

Verizon in my line of work is most reliable with calling and 3g service. Sprint doesn't even compare to VZW 3g coverage.
