OK, I'm trying to do something extraordinarily simple, and my Bold is making life hard.

I want to transfer a file (say, a photo that I took) to my PC via bluetooth file transfer.

    That's it.

It won't. I can receive from the very same PC with no problem (by selecting receive via bluetooth etc) but I can not send anything. Desktop Manager also won't show me as connected (it'll say it connected, but then nothing happens).

I'm using a Bold 9000 and a Windows XP SP2 box. When I go to the bluetooth icon on my PC and find my Bold, the services listed are only DUN (Dial-up networking).

Help! I made this work once, long ago, but not now.

    I'm pulling out my hair....

It needs to have a place to go. Be sure to select Receive a File on your PC.

    OK. That worked.

Now how about having Desktop Manager connect and do it's thing over Bluetooth?
