I would say it would depend more on the network than the device. If you have a BB Bold from one carrier and are comparing it to an iPhone where the iPhone has better service, then yeah, it would look like the Bold is slower. Don't take one review as gospel.
I read on HoFo that (it's probably got it's own thread here too, but I'm too tired to look) the BlackBerry Bold has kinda the same problems with the 3G as the new iPhone 3G. Both the BlackBerry Bold and iPhone 3G use the same infineon 3G chipset, I'm starting to think that is where the problem is.
keep in mind this is most likely a pre-release Bold that doubtfully has the final os 4.6 software. In addition not many will argue the iphone has an excellent browser. But is that what you value most in your device? For me, no. Top 10 Reasons Why the iPhone is STILL NO BlackBerry! | CrackBerry.com
