i have a bold 9000 and i love it, only issue i have is memory and the trackball is kinda getting annoying, but i love the size, blackberry needs to make bigger devices instead of trying to go smaller, but my issue is that i found some bold 9650's/9700 on craigslist for 100$ and i was thinking should i switch to a 9650/9700 or stay with my bold, or just wait for the blackberry dakota ?

basically is the 9560/9700 that much better that i should upgrade? because the dakota might take a while to be released so i was wondering if the 9650/9700 is a good enough device to upgrade from the 9000 ?

If you get a 9700 branded to T-Mobile, Wind Mobile, or Mobilicity, you will get 3G on T-Mobile.

You will only have EDGE on T-Mobile with a 9650 or AT&T branded 9700.

Either the 9650 or 9700 will be much better than the 9000. The 9650 has more app memory available than the 9700. However, you will need to manually add the T-Mobile service books, like if you were using a Storm on T-Mobile, since T-Mobile does not sell the 9650.

I recently bought a 9700 on craigslist (had a 9000) to hold me over until the Dakota comes out. Great device, better memory, better camera, trackpad, etc. Glad I did it.

$100? Don't wait. Dakota is months off and might have issues or not be on your carrier when it does get here. Spend the hundred bucks and upgrade at your leisure.

For $100 I'd go 9700 for sure. Still one of my favorite devices and will certainly keep you happy.

9700 is an awesome device and I am sure it could hold you over till the new BB's come out.

Is funny as I would love to play around with a 9000, but never get rid of my 9700...good luck!

you guys are recommending the 9700, but i see that the 9650 has better specs then it aside from battery run time, as far as memory goes its double the 9700, so why not the 9650 ? and carriers aren't a issue for me, i can unlock them since all blackberry phones comes with sim card slot for overseas.

also honestly the MAIN reason im not switching to them before the dakota comes out is manily because of how amazing the 9000 is, i know other phones specs are better and i would love the trackpad instead of having to clean the trackball periodically, but the size of the 9000 is just ******* perfect. ive held other blackberries and they feel like im going to break them if i squeeze my fist, and they are so tiny, i really dont know why blackberry tries to make their phones smaller. but yea i would definitely get the 9700 9650 if they were heavier and bigger, but i guess you guys are all saying to switch so i might, so 9650 or 9700 ? 9650 is a little bigger then the 9700 and better specs so that kind of seems better ? i found both for 120$ on craigslist, and some that are a little beaten up for 100$

I had a 9000 and went from that to a 9700. You'll get used to the smaller size pretty quickly, and after using the trackpad you won't want to go back to the 9000's trackball ever again.

I have both a 9700 AND a 9650/6.0.0.415. The 9700 has better battery life. Keyboard is a bit more sturdy. Has a leather back, so I doesn't slide on tables. The 9650 is a lot bigger. Even thought it feels cheap.. I like the keyboard better.. Waaay more space. There's not much of a difference between the two imo. Having both phones.. I'd say go with the 9700. Battery life is unmatched. I was tweeting for 2 days straight!!!!!!!!
