My mother and father both have Blackberry Tours. My father's bluetooth works fine in both cars (BMW and Jaguar, if that makes a difference). My mother's bluetooth is problematic.

As soon as her phone connects/pairs with the car, the radio turns off. When she disconnects the phone the radio turns back on. Also, her ringer is silenced on an incoming call or can be heard for a split second. I only tested it out a few times myself, and it seems that some or all of the time the phone automatically answers the call.

Since my father's works in both cars and my mother's is quirky in both cars, I've concluded the phone is the culprit, not the car. I've checked all settings I can think of and the settings are identical in both phones. That is, all the bluetooth menu settings and device settings (the cars within the bluetooth menu of the phone) as well as Auto-Answer set to Never.

    Anyone see this problem before?

When my Tour messes up with bluetooth, I go to manage connections and disable the network and the bluetooth then turn them back on. Problem solved. Although I have a new Bold coming in to replace a broken Tour. Might want to call Verizon and see if you can get a Bold as a replacement!

I just upgraded to Verizon OS 5.0.0.732 on my Blackberry Tour - I have a 2008 5 series BMW. Bluetooth connection is intermittent. Also, to "answer" on bluetooth can take over 30 seconds - which means calls roll into voicemail. I am going back to the Verizon OS 4 -where I did not have any of these problems.
