I'm having a problem with my Pearl when I lock the keypad.

I have a new Acura MDX which has bluetooth handsfree link built in.

If my Pearl is locked before I start the MDX, it will not be recognized by the handsfree link.

If the Pearl is unlocked, it works ever time.

Is Bluetooth disabled when the phone is locked? If so is there a configuration option that affects this?

Do you have a security code on your Pearl? I wonder if that's the issue. If yes, turn if off for a moment, and test it...

Or, are you just locking the device with the * & send button?

Thanks for the reply. I found a resolution for this problem.

There is a setting under Options | Security Options | General Settings called "Allow Outgoing Calls While Locked".

Apparently when this option is set to "Yes" the Bluetooth handsfree feature is disabled when the keypad is locked (by holding down the * key).

Setting this to "No" seems to have resolved the problem for me.
