I can not for the life of me figure out how to add contacts to my blackberry messenger on my pearl! I know people with curves that are able to add me but I cant add anyone from me and Ive tried to with friends that also have pearls and theyre having the same problem!! am I alone on this or does anyone know how to help?

When you open bbm and click the menu key, there should be a add a contact option, you click that and enter a friend's pin and then click enter.

BB Messenger is awesome! Very simple to use. Just add by there PIN number or Email. Then it will send them a request to add you

Funny thing I've found with OS 4.5.0.56...

Trying to add a new bbm contact you get a box that says:

Add a Contact:

and in this box a message: < Type PIN/Email address or Name here... >

If you type in a PIN it looks in your Contacts to see if it's there and will return "PIN not found". The only way I've found to add a contact here is to add the User to my Contacts with their PIN and then go through these steps again. Anyone find a different way?
