What about BlackBerry's Trade Up Program for their loyal consumers? Seems they have forgotten -or are they no more interested in the loyal consumers?

Seems to be the question of the day.

It's interesting that this was a 'BlackBerry' proper announcement and nothing from BlackBerry Mobile, who the upgraded devices would be coming from. Makes me wonder how deep into the arrangements they were/are when they mentioned it on the BlackBerry blog.

Seems to me, it might be a while yet before we see or hear anything. Maybe BlackBerry shouldn't have said anything until they had more information available to give to people because now, people are just waiting.

Alienating the loyal users is a way of suicide...

Ha! Kind of like "releasing" a phone when they don't have nearly enough manufacturing capacity to support it...

Or BB10 Playbook... Or 10.3.4... or... yeah nevermind. This is just how we roll in da hood.

BlackBerry Ltd. involvement would lead me to "think" that this would involve UEM licencing as an incentive and not a cash rebate. Let's face it, Enterprise is both BlackBerry and BBMo's focus. And while it might hurt a little for BlackBerry to give away something, in the long run they would be keeping customer on their UEM solution.
