I travel extensively and because phone calls are very expensive in several of the countries I spend some time in, I would like to use internet connection sharing on my laptop to make WiFi calls with my blackberry in my hotel room.

I am typically on a wireless internet connection with my laptop that requires passwords/user names or other keys for internet access. Every hotel is different and I would not typically have access to any of their settings.

But once I am logged on with my laptop, is there a way to share this connection with my BB so that I can make wifi calls?

How about when I have a wired connection?

I can connect to my laptop via bluetooth if that helps the solution.

    Thanks in advance.

I think with most hotels you can get access to their wifi info ie WEP key or WPA information and IP address, no?

You can scan for available wifi networks and if its not open enter in the wep key....maybe not?
