I don't know if this was covered already but i just got the 8820 from work and also have the 8310 personal. Dot eh blackberry's sync with outlook wirelessly or do they have to be plugged in to sync..and if so how to you go about doing this
It depends. If the BB is activated on a BES server, it can sync wirelessly. However if it is not, if you are a personal user, you cannot wirelessly sync. You would need to connect the phone via USB to a computer.
After trying a syncML server sync to outlook, and bb sync to syncML server (BIS) for 2 weeks, I gave up. Contacts, Calendar and Notes worked great, but Task (main reason for me to sync on the go) would not work correctly. Next best thing for me is bluetooth sync to PC. Once you get the desktop manager to work with your bluetooth, it works great, but getting the DM and BT to play nice had it' own set of issues.
