3G is a a network type, as opposed to push delivery which is a
service. Regardless of the network type (EDGE, 3G, etc) BB push
    delivery will work the same.

Yeah, bb push is a service, you got it already, what do you want to change?

Thanks guys for both replies. I do understand. But If I go for 3g I am not tethered to a BB. I can get any handset I like- as 3 G is a service I need to connect to download mails unlike BB which delivers to my inbox. Will 3 G be so fast or is prone to network congestion as many may be using at a given time?
    Tks

So you're saying you don't want a BB; you just want another phone that can "pull" e-mail over a 3G network and you want to know whether 3G is fast enough to "pull" the content relatively quickly?
