Blackberry Q5 Problems - Alarm clock and volume up won't work

Hello, any help would be much appreciated
I have had my BlackBerry q5 for about 8 months and in the past few months I have began to realise a few issues. The first being me unable to open the clock ( which raises an issue as I have to get up for school, get ready etc. ). The second think being me unable to higher up the volume (via the side buttons). This is becoming a serious issue as I have tried restarts, system updates, battery pulls and yet no luck. I am seriously regretting my purchase at this moment in time.

You've tried a lot of stuff but one thing......... reloading your OS. Give it a go. Things get gummed up, a full on wipe every 5-6 months isn't exactly out of question.

You see the problem with that is the fact that I had a blackberry 9300 before hand and all my data that was once on that phone is now on my q5 so a full wipe would mean to loss of data. I know you maybe thinking take the sd card but I still have lots of files stored on my device and not enough room to transfer my files from my device to sd. Thanks for the help anyway but I don't think there is much more I can do

Do a hard reset. Hold your volume up and down button at the same time and it will reset your phone. Don't worry you won't lose any files it's just a reboot. Hope this helps
