    Q1 earnings; posts negative revenue and profit

    The transition from handset maker to software and services provider is picking pace for BalckBerry but at a slower pace. The company I guess would need more investments as it did in the telematics space to pick up the momentum faster.

    Enterprise software and services revenue declined 14%..... simply put the market doesn't need a standalone UEM solution as much these days. Many companies are turning to cloud services for hosted email, and those usually throw in basic device management, and offer more advance solutions if needed. But the key is, it is at least very profitable for them.

    Future growth really does rest on Automotive or on investment into "something", or an investment into BlackBerry in the form of a buyout. That's where making their IP look valuable, comes into play....
