Do I have my email set up wrong or it is normal for my gmail that I read on my phone to remain marked as unread on my gmail account? My last phone (Q9c) would show emails read on the phone as read on my gmail account, and it was set up as IMAP.

You will have to set Gmail to be sure you use IMAP. POP is the best way to go as it is instant, but won't sync your email. If you choose to use IMAP, you will get delays of up to 20min when receiving email to your Gmail box.
I just set my email up through my Blackberry BIS... is there another way?
And I just checked my Gmail account... both POP and IMAP are enabled... should I change that?? I like the instant push and don't want to lose that.
I'm in the same boat as you. Its quite irritating to have to go to select all messages and then mark them as read.

How to enable push IMAP GMail, it's for rogers but it should work for every network.
Any downside to doing that??
Also... I don't think emails I'm replying to on my BB are showing on Gmail... is that normal?
