I don't use a blackberry but my father has a blackberry from boost mobile for his business purpose. He pays $60 every month. The plan includes unlimited nationwide talk, text, web and email service.

He gets unlimited international calling to selected locations in Mexico and Canada. He pays additional $10 for unlimited text messaging.

Unlimited BIS data $29.95 per month
    Blackberry Voice Plan $0.00

So if I sent a text: 25 cents

Which makes $29.95 + 0.25 = $30.20.... The text cost goes over the top of $29.95.

Our big 3 went a little nuts a few months ago when the first of a couple of new players entered the scene (WIND Mobile).

I was on month to month having finished up a Telus contract and was paying $78.00 a month for the plan I will describe below.

    250 daytime minutes
    After 06:00pm & weekends free
    Unlimited text
    500mb of data
    caller ID
    Voicemail
    5 favourite numbers (includes LD).
    Free International roaming.

Ok, so after a few phone calls and some negotiating heres what happened: I would go purchase a 9700 for $150.00 at a retail outlet, Telus would give me all the above features for $50.00 per month AND give me the first 3 months free (thus offsetting the cost of the 9700) if I signed a 3yr contract. The one concession they got out of me was free after 09:00pm in lieu of 06:00pm, but thats the way negotiation works. Give & take, etc.

To be honest, I got to the store as fast as possible. I thought it was a pretty darn good deal so I bit.

I send around 500 to 600 texts per month on average and I dont really know about the minutes because I have that 5 favourite number thing which is a life saver. I would say 90% of my calling is to those 5 numbers and I probably spend 15-30 minutes a day calling.

I'm a pretty satisfied customer really.

I have AT&T, and I'm on the Senior Plan with 200 anytime minutes and free mobile-to-mobile (the account is in my grandmother's name). Add the BlackBerry unlimited web and messaging for $50, and my bill is $79.99 per month. Taxes and stuff bring it to $96.00, though.

EDIT: I forgot my phone insurance, which is $4.99 a month.

Blackberry package has been lowered!!! Thank you so much.
I still have a dumbphone with VZ that I want to swap out for a Tour. I just switched from 450 min @ 39.99 to 900 mins at $59.99 .

You are paying too much unless they charge more for phone service on smartphone. Dont think so

x2.. I have the same plan. Except I only have a 15% employee discount. I'm very shocked how many people on here don't have Sprint. They're by far the cheapest and best (in our area) for any phone, especially smart phones. no added data charges, no added text plans, it's all included.

Yeah Sprint has definitely the best prices by far out of any carrier. My discount helps out well too, I get about 16$ off each bill + the 10$ off each bill for the remainder of my 2 year contract discount a rep allowed me to have last time I called them. Roughly 26$ off my phone bill right there. I love it..

I thought this was quite steep until I started reading what you guys are paying - remembered that the US people pay for calls / SMS incoming and outgoing (or am I wrong again ). UK just pay for outgoing calls / SMS.
