Is the Blackberry PIN still free to use?
I just got an unlocked Blackberry Bold for my sister. So after upgrading its OS, I plugged in my T-Mobile SIM card to test it. It automatically pulled all the service book and I even got the Registration message from Blackberry eventhough I didn't manually register the device. The browser works, I didn't try the Blackberry Messenger.
So after shutting down the device, I went to my online T-Mobile account. When I logged into my blackberry account, it asked me if I wanted to changed the PIN to my sister's blackberry (the one I just tested). I clicked no. Then I put the SIM card back into my own device and manually re-register it. Everything works fine on my own blackberry.
My question, is it safe to assume that the PIN on my sister's blackberry is still free and usable? My online T-Mobile account shows my own PIN number, not my sister's. She lives outside USA so I won't know if her PIN is still free until I bring it to her.
Thanks.
