Since the assumed OS following OS 6 will be OS 7, I would think that Microsoft would have a serious problem with using the 7. Think they'll bother RIM about the name?

with the adaption of QNX OS's i don't think we sell "OS7" and if we did, oh well. It's "Windows 7". i don't think, and if they can it's just plain stupid, they can sue over a number. we didn't see any suing when RIM, Apple and Android went through the 1-x phases. and they would of over lapped with each other.

The one for Mobile Phone's is called Windows Phone 7.

It is also not called "OS 6", it's "BlackBerry 6". Plus, you can't just trademark a number.
