All that matters is whether people will buy it. The verdict is already in on how big the demand is for your pefect current model passport
Who cares how many buy it. He has it, it does everything he wants, parts are on- line and it will last for years. Think Subaru guys care everyone else drives Chevy?

It wasn't: Jolla made the same with its Sailfish OS 1,5 years ago.

I think a lot of people have stated this in a comment. LoL
There certainly are a lot of armchair CEOs on CrackBerry telling them what they "need to do".

I wonder how much John Chen rolls his eyes at some of us ...

Frack - some people here panic when BlackBerry lowers the brightness on a screen slightly. Seriously - what a place of melodrama

Somehow I think that if Blackberry did this... smartphone RAM would be suddenly very expensive.

How about QNX Hypervisor along with the ability for devs who only do IOS apps to make those apps available for BB use. I can see BB using both tech and offering a solution for both enterprise and regular consumer. Of course thats if developers jump into the ring as well.

I don't think Hypervisor will be for lower ram phones. If and when they come out with it I'd expect only the Passport/Slider to be able to run it.
