For those of you who would like to use your @XXX.blackberry.net email account but are reluctant to do so due to lack of web access and mail storage, I have found a solution. Simply create a gmail account for storage purposes and configure your BB to forward copies of all incoming mail to the Gmail account. Problem solved.

You can set up an auto forwarding rule from the email account settings on the phone.

Only on the device, thus making it very secure and private. The email address can be changed at any time, it's not just a one off setup.
