I checked the BetaZone but it's not showing for me.
I see that you guys have already been there and posted about your issue.
What I don't understand is why you just cant paste the keycode into the field?
You don't need a paste function in the menu to use keyboard shortcuts.
That's the beauty of BlackBerry devices!
I may be showing my age with BlackBerry here, but if you can copy it from the email, just paste it into the field by hitting the left Shift button and the trackpad.
That does not work for you?

Wow BB is gonna come up with their own Map app? Do they even have enough resources to do so??? Why not just stick with google maps?
To answer the question from my point of view...
How can they "stick" with something that they cannot control or guarantee it will continue to work/be supported going forward?

Yeah. I think they could use their own map app that works well.
Keeps them on par with the rest of the competition.
I also believe they "better" come up with the resources.
Maps are becoming a more and more integral part of mobile operating systems.
They don't need to add that to a list of perceived shortcomings.

I wish it was available here...

Especially with the current trend of Google discontinuing support of apps for competing platforms, particularly BB.

No? Maybe the app needs to be updated to accept pasting text on that page or something?
I found an old link for you so you can be sure it is done correctly.
I use that shortcut all the time on my 9900. I've used it for so many years. It's habit.

The exact thoughts I was trying to convey...

I really really really wish this was available here!!!
I've been an advocate of integrating BBMaps and BBTraffic together for a long time already!
Now it looks like RIM went even further than I ever wished for previously.

Using PlayBook for typing, so apologies for typos. The short cut method doesn't work. Must be a bug!

Didn't work the first time for me either, but after backing out and re-entering the keycode pasted in fine.

I bet this will be a carrier featured app that will come with a monthly price. AT&T had their navigator app program for BB6 devices and I had it for about a month.

    Maybe, Maybe not.
But that is an AT&T Navigator app. It's offered by AT&T. Hence the name.
This application is named BlackBerry Navigator. Which I would assume means proprietary to RIM.
Similar to BlackBerry Messenger or BlackBerry Traffic or BlackBerry Maps.

I just think maybe with the new tiered data programs being discussed, the carriers (data plans) may make money with the data needed to run it.

Let me get out of this thread.

    Hello

I'm on Vodafone in the UK and BlackBerry Navigator downloaded 1st time, to my 9900, I received key code by email and activated.

Seems to be working, will give it a proper "road" test tomorrow.

For those that have the app let us know how the multitasking, battery hold up with this app running and what the POI search is like. Sadly I can't test this right now...
