In your future devices, since there are a lot of smartphones these days that have pop-up cameras and the like, what would you focus on next?

Stefan: On BlackBerry, we’re looking at how to improve the Keyboard. We have a concept named Magic Keyboard. It is to make the keyboard more integrated into the whole product, that you can still enjoy a full display. This has something to do with the flexible display technology. There we see the opportunity to create different form factors, which we haven’t seen so far. This is something that will maybe bring the BlackBerry as well to more new people.

If it works and isn't too expensive it might actually end an age old argument about VKB vs PKB.

Well, it looks like Tactus scrapped this technology or perhaps they sold it to BlackBerry...who knows; it doesn't appear on their site.

IMO incremental updates to the KEY series is the way to go.

No...its saturation. All 5 people that want a PKB have one. Not convinced? Here's an exercise for you in your spare time. Find 10 people without a PKB device. This will be very easy to do. Next, trade each of them your BlackBerry KeyWhatever for 3 days and see how many say to you "that was an awesome experience and I am trading in my iSlab or Slabsung to get the this tomorrow!"

It will never happen.

I could actually believe that 1 out of those 10 may seriously consider making the switch, for the three following reasons:

-They've never really been into pecking at a VKB, but have just "lived with it"

-If they're coming from a mid-ranger that doesn't have too impressive specs (mediocre camera, low storage, underwhelming battery life).

-If their current slab has a clean stock UI, similar to Pixels and OnePlus devices, it may help them get quickly acquainted with BBAndroid.
Basically, slabbers that aren't necessarily "in love" with their current slab.

An iPhone user deeply invested into the ecosystem and very comfortable with it is probably the least likely to switch.

The truth of the matter is that few people care about what phones another person uses. Cheap Android or expensive iPhone. At this point in time, only a folding phone might garner interest just because the concept is new.
