    Dear all,
Am very pleased to be a Z10 owner, unlocked, and in the UK. I am reading and seeing broadcasts including commentary that Alicia Keys made about some years when BlackBerry was not appealing. Most BlackBerry lovers speak about this. Can someone enlighten about what happened?

Welcome to CrackBerry! Glad to hear you're enjoying your new Z10. I am too!

What happened, or perhaps what didn't happen, was BlackBerry not keeping up with competitors, perhaps because they didn't understand how much consumers valued some features & functionality.

The legacy BBOS was Java-based and very outdated. It is prone to freezing or lagging and memory leaks, requires frequent rebooting, and cannot run many modern apps & games.

Thankyou for that information. Yes the old blackberries did have OS issues. I had a 8310, I liked it very much. But then I had a 9300. Then a 9320. Z10 is by far an excellent phone in every way. Speed, apps, email, the hub.
