(Checked out the search returns, but didn't get anything useful)

I use my email (Gmail) as a texting supplement by using the email-to-SMS gateways through the various carriers. Today, three recipients (the only SMS recipients I sent a message to) got multiple copies of texts. We're talking in the 30 to 40 range. Battery pull didn't solve it, so I wiped the phone. I didn't have another option at the time, as I was unable to get to a computer.

When I got home, I was able to restore it to a restore point from about three days ago.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what could have caused this? I send a good number of SMS messages to these people via this method, but don't want to run into this situation again.

My buddy got 170 emails in a row yesterday. All just multiples of old emails. His phone was vibrating like crazy! lol
