Funny enough, I know more people with a BlackBerry than with a WP. Way more!
I meant what manufacturers of Windows Phone are you seeing in stores there?
And the Microsoft Lumia 535 is out, but it is fairly new.
In the UK they are easier to obtain but a lot of high street mobile stores don't have them stocked but the online portion of the mobile provider does. It's easier to centrally stock them than to issue x amount of handsets for demo in selected stores. It's sad I know because you then don't get to 'try before you buy' but lets face it the customer that will buy a BlackBerry is the more savvy customer that knows what they want and has likely owned a BlackBerry previously however it does not entice new customers to buy or take out a contract when they are being sold like this.
Carphone Warehouse is the only store currently here that I have seen a Passport on demo.
Just been in cpw, they had one on display with no power and a cracked screen. Sadly, although I can see the benefit of the wider screen and how it could be more productive it's just not for me.
Looks like I'm waiting for the classic or news of an all touch on the horizon.

I'm in the one of the largest cities in Germany and no one has a Blackberry Passport. The largest chains has none in stock or on display.
That there would be no market for Blackberry during Christmas rush in Germany is pure nonsense. The Blackberry are deliberately not sold because US operating systems must be promoted.

Denial is not merely a river in Egypt.
Chen himself said he isn't going to be spending any significant money trying to sell BB phones to consumers - he's focusing the company on enterprise sales. And yet you imagine a conspiracy keeping BB out of the consumer market. Yes, the conspiracy is happening among the executives of BB!
You don't seem to understand, despite dozens of interviews of Chen explaining it, what BB's financial situation is and the limitations they are under. You want to blame someone else, but it's really all up to BB.
I'm from Denmark and I know what you are talking about. But I still find them. You have to go and catch the BlackBerry, it's not coming automatically to you.
I kind of like it. Because only lazy people buys the mainstream products that is easy available everywhere. And I'm not one of them.

It all depends on countries. When I was looking for WP 2 years ago, Canada was the poor child. We got half of the Nokia lineup, with no unlocked devices available.
Just be patient, wait until BlackBerry grows to reach more geographical markets.

Lol @ poor child. So true tho
Blackberry, on a global sclae is hard to find I think. Here in Canada it's not so bad but I do see what the OP Is saying.
Chen said he's focusing his time on distribution now. This is good because even though BlackBerry is not directly targeting the consumer market, they are indirectly targeting them by making the relationships between BlackBerry and carriers better. The first step in the US was when Chen invited ATT on stage with them at the new york event.

Really???? Then, it was wrong. In a sens that carrier do not give a shi1t. Chen should have had invited the mass public instead. And distribution should be through company that he will sell to.
For me I see the opposite. In order to sell something you must put the product in the face of the people otherwise they will not know about it. Windows Phone has miniscule market share, despite of that they are overflowing on the display counter. So if I cannot find Blackberry Passport in the one of the richest and largest cities in the largest economy in Europe, then I'd say they are deliberately sorted out.
Of course I can always buy them online but in that case I can order from any country. However, this discussion is about that Blackberry is deliberately not allowed to be sold because they are not spy devices.
Call me paranoid but reality always tend to be more sinister as time goes on.
Europe never had the Blackberry marketshare that the US had but yet BB is disappearing from stores here is well. MS spends 100's of millions supporting WinPhone from revenues of other profitable parts of MS which BB cannot do and yet as can see they have nothing to show for it. Why would BB go down that path and risk the whole company?
Well on the positive side, if you manage to get a Passport, you will feel very exclusive with the phone in your home country because no one owns one or knows anything about it. If you love attention this is the one phone to buy.
It's truly a phone that I can carry around feeling confident that no matter how negative people feel about the Blackberry brand, I still love my phone. I could have easily gotten an iPhone 6 or any phone in the world but I choose the Passport. I really don't care what people thinks.
