Firstly thanks for taking the time to read this post.

    The Problem is

I have a Blackberry 8520 the metal charging port on the side came out when I unplugged the charger an therefore cannot charge it using the Blackberry Charger. I have been informed it cannot be repaired.

I purchased an external charger a Liondo.

The company claim the charger takes 4-5 hrs to charge in actual fact it takes about 4 -5 days.

I have looked at other Blackberrys on ebay that take the CS-2 Battery (blue) which is what the 8520 takes and I have found that the following phone use this battery can anyone confirm for me that these phones take the CS-2 Battery

    Blackberry 7100, 7100g, 7100r, 7100t, 7100v, 7130, 7130c, 7130e,8300,8310,8320,8330,8520,8700,8700e,8700g,87 03,8703e,8705,8707,8707g

Do these phones take the CS-2 Battery? My idea is to buy a cheap or faulty phone one of these phone on ebay and use it as a charger. Can anyone advise or suggest an alternative idea.

Please any help is much appreciated.

    Thank You

Buying an external battery charger might be a cheaper alternative to what you had in mind. The Crackberry store has two on sale.

If your phone is still under warranty, your provider should replace it.
