BlackBerry hacked by researchers via webKit
At the annual pwn2own hacking contest, the new BlackBerry webKit browser was vulnerable to attacks as were other webKit variants. Researchers were able to obtain the address book, photos, write a new file and execute code. Conclusion: BlackBerry is secure mostly because it's obscure, not much is known about the system. On the flip side, it's significantly behind iOS in security. The only browser that hasn't been successfully hacked this year is Chrome:
