I have just changed back to a BB after almost 2 years away with the ubiqitous iPhone, and really, really need some help please.

Questions - all revolve around NOT having BES:
    1. Can you add new contacts and select which contact folder you want those contacts to be added to
    2. If you add Notes to either the PC or the BB - for an existing contact - how long should they take to synch?
    3. Once you have your Exchange synch set up, is the rest of the synch automatic, or do you have to physically connect to the PC? (This has been my experience to date)
    4. Can you access other email folders other than just your default Inbox?

    TIA millions and trillions!!
    Cathy

BackGround: We have on premise Exchange, even though only 2 staff.
We are heavy Outlook and Exchange users, and sell our CRM software which integrates with QuickBooks, MYOB and a few other programmes, directly into MS Outlook. Multi users of our software need Exchange - whether hosted or on premise, and need maximum mobile syncrhonisation. I have tried on numerous occasions to contact RIM direct - bother here in Australia, and corporate US - to no avail. Have tried Wicksoft, but they don't support beyond Exchange 2003.

If you have a good Exchange admin you could install BESX for free. I use it at my office and it is awesome: pretty much a full-on BES experience. Otherwise I honestly don't think the contacts or calendar updates wirelessly without BES or BESX.

    1) No
    2) No
    3) Have to plug in to get contacts, calendar, tasks.
    4) No

Might want to go back to something ActiveSync based and save yourself the hassle of having to involve more software to do what Exchange/ActiveSync did for your out of the box. Sorry, but this is the truth from my "no bs" point of view.
