I purchased the Storm the day it came out and set it up to receive my TW RoadRunner email. I installed the software provided and the Redirector is installed but appears to be turned off. I am not having trouble sending/receiving emails but have 2 questions: 1) when I synchronize messages with my desktop nothing happens between my PC and BBerry (Calendar and Contacts work fine); how can this happen and how can I resolve the problem? 2) prior to installing the software my computer (Dell, XP, and more than enough memory) booted just fine - now it takes forever b/c of the BBerry software. Do I need the Desktop redirector or can I uninstall it?
I use Re-director only because my work e-mail system is locked down so tight that it will not allow BB. So, my work messages are sent from work desktop to BB via Re-director. My home e-mail is pushed directly to BB & i do not need (or use) Re-director on my home PC.
