Anyone get a msg from these guys on bbm thru bold a day.
Says I will get a bbm request to be into the know.
Let me guess. You'll get the BBM request and all it will ask for is your first name, last name, social security number, phone number, address, date of birth and credit card number along with the 3 numbers on the back to confirm your subscription to be "in the know".
I got the same thing today as well. I was going to delete it, but I thought "what if it's from some deposed African dictator who'll give me half of the $50 million that's stuck in the bank if I send him what's owing in taxes." I mean really, how can I turn down a deal like that?
First, I received a message from the "Bold A Day" BBM account stating the following:
"Hi! We'd love to keep you "in the know" on what's going with Blackberry, all through BBM. U'll get a friend request soon from Blackberry Connexion - just accept and your "in"
and then, the next day, I got an add request from Blackberry Connexion
But haven't received any further messages saying that I'm rich or won a new BB phone. I'm very sad now.
Just got an add request. I doubt it isn't legit. If someone other than RIM had control of the BeBold account, they could do whatever they are planning with it instead of starting a new account
If you messaged any of the various Bold a Day BBM contacts after the contest/draws ended, they would have told you to stay tuned for more chances or special contests.
It's real. I guess they are starting to gear up for something.
I got the BBM request today but had deleted my Bold-A-Day BBM contacts a while back. I sent a message saying "Who is this?". It got delivered, not read, and not replied to. No response on a ping.
