With all the talk about how many devices BlackBerry should release, it got me thinking about something they used to do that was pretty cool. I remember how many different colors would be available. It wasn't only black or white, you had red, blue, purple and pink was really popular.

With today's very competitive market, I think one of the advantage was the different varieties of colors it had over the competition.

They should have white, black, red, pink and a limited edition color.

I could see them doing that again with mid-tier or low-end devices, but not with their high-end devices like the Z10 or Q10.

I remember the Pearl 81xx and 91xx came in a bunch of colors, as did the Pearl Flip and every generation of Curves (especially the 83xx series). The colors I could see them doing the Z10 in, other than white and black, would be a very dark blue like the color of a real blackberry, which looked very nice on my BlackBerry 8820 back in the day. I love my Z10, but it definitely doesn't scream, "Hi! I'm fun!" which is why I like it.
