I am trying to find out what people in other areas of the world are paying as a monthly fee for accessing the Blackberry Service. In South Africa we pay R59.00 per month which works out about $6.20 per month all inclusive and regardless of how much bandwidth you use.

What are you paying per month?

Just a quick note - the R59 we pay is for the BIS service only and doesn't include free mins/talk time. Still a great deal though

In Thailand it is 850 baht (about US$25.00) a month for BIS unlimited bandwith but no sms or mms included. That is on top of whatever regular post paid plan you are using. BES is about double that. The two carriers that offer BB service are AIS and TrueMove. Instead of getting BB service I just have an unlimited data plan with TrueMove for 250 baht (about US$7.25) on a prepaid sim (use very little talk time) and use an Edge TCP connection. I use Gmail for mail which is almost as good as pushmail (on BB it checks all accounts for mail every 20 minutes) and Beejive for IM. Don't need to waste the extra money for using RIM services.

In Canada on Rogers. Pay $25month for BIS/500MB/1000txt/1000mms.
This is in addition to my voice plan. The voice total is about $28 more per month for 200min/unlimited nights <5pm and weekends/VM/CD.

Going over 500MB can add up quickly ($0.03/MB). Though the overage fee can only rise to a maximum of $100.

Most UK providers seem to offer a BIS package around 10 (about U$15) plus whatever voice and SMS airtime is selected.
