Are most blackberry users business people? Does anyone use it for fun?
I have an old PPC and had MIKE phone for personal and work use.
I lost the mike phone (Motorola i880). So I decided to go the BB route. I picked up the 7100i so I would have phone, Walkie Talkie and PDA all in one.
Unfortunately I wasn't ready for all I lost in order to gain an all in one device. I miss my MP3's, camera phone, SMS Messaging, etc. So......
Two weeks after purchasing this pretty much featureless BB, I am going back to Telus to TRY to exchange it for a MIKE phone and a BB Curve (World Edition) with a full data package.
Hopefully Telus will want to satisfy this long time customer by moving heaven and earth to get me into a package I like!
I originally purchased a BlackBerry primarily for handling service calls dispatched to my at an old job (which is now a P/T gig), but have grown to love it as a personal device also. Currently, my BB (now an 8130) is the hub around which my life is organized.
Well mines suppose to be for business purpose but I am having more fun with it personally then for using its for business use... I stay mostly in the office so all work stuffs gets done on my computer. However the SSH cleint on my BB does help me monitor certain stuffs when away from work...
I use mine for both. My work's telecommunications policy is that we put the wireless contract in our name but expense the cost of the monthly service and we have to pay for the device. My monthly cost that I expense is about $100 for the voice and data plan. If I didn't have a job that reimbursed me, I don't think I would have a BB. That's too much of a monthly expense just to have one 'for fun'.

I use mine mainly for work. I'm on BES so it's primarily for email but it's off limits when I out with my wife. She's threatening to fling it one of these days.
