I did an OS update today then chose the "restart later" option. After about an hour my phone crashed (mid phone call) and the screen remained frozen. Then the screen turned black and the red light flashes 1 time, followed by several quick red flashes.

I have not been able to get my phone working since.

Any assistance if you have encountered something similar would be appreciated.

What model of BlackBerry is it? Have you tried a battery pull or a hard reset?

Z10. Did a battery pull. Had no affect. Tried charging it with no battery attached. Also had no affect. As long as it is connected to power it keeps blinking red as described before.

Did you get an official update or did you use a leak?

Does the BlackBerry logo come up on the screen? Or does it not even try to startup.

Trying to connect to Link and run the update again tis your best bet, as someone mentioned earlier.

Take out the battery whilst plugged into outlet. Leave for 20 mins without battery and still plugged in then reinsert battery all the while remaining plugged in.

Battery pull usually the best way and always let the phone finish updates and do a restart immediately after this will prevent itfromcrazhing

This. Or try reloading the os, do it from the BlackBerry website, not through link. Most likely your BlackBerry will be ok
