My blackberry Bold got very hot so I turned it off and now it will not turn on or take a charge. The red light comes on for a fews econds when trying to charge then a battery sigh comes on with a line through it. I took it to T Mobile and the young girl said it is fried. Is there any hope for my phone, can it be fixed or is it garbage?

Have you tried to power up with just the charger lead and no battery?

Did you try a new battery?
