I am running 10.3.2.2339 on my Passport and just got the upgrade for 10.3.2.2168 for my Z30 (both unlocked). Using Blackberry Assistant has finally felt useful. Sorry didn't mean to take a jab, but it was ridiculously slow. It is pretty close to instant now.

" Navigate to" commands are very fast, and the moment you confirm your destination, it goes into bbmaps very fast. No longer does it require additional user input in maps to navigate. In this regard, bbmaps has improved.

The amount of time that Assistant takes to interpret your verbal request is now pretty darn instant. And it does not take forever to choose the category and respond with the answer. It is probably 2x as long as Siri now, but that is not as bad as it sounds. Siri has gotten ridiculously fast. If it spits out and answer in 3 seconds, BlackBerry Assistant is at about 5 or 6. Before it was around 10-15 seconds (in my experience).

As I said at the beginning, knock on wood.

Here is to hoping it continues to get better. I want sports history to be added and not just current seasons.

Glad to hear that. BB Assistant on my Z3 has been very slow too. It's a shame to put it aside Siri. I haven't got the latest 10.3.2 yet so we'll see.

If you want to call it that. I have not once used the BB Assistant by talking to it. But BB Assistant makes a simple text search an additional step away and there is no longer a history of searches. It's less efficient when you want a simple search.

Doesn't it learn over time? You would think the more you use it the more used to your voice it would get. Always seemed faster once it interprets than siri and about as fast but not quite as diverse as Google now

I know what you mean. If you want to just type the previous version in 10.2.1 was much better. They could of kept the two separated. Instead of combining voice assist with the search app.

It is not supported on the 9530 aka Storm my friend. Granted you can use voice commands to call people but that's about it.
The feature we are talking about is only available on OS10. Which is the newest OS available by Blackberry.
