I have a list of free apps that work over wi-fi without data plan, tested by me, as I don't have data plan.
Free Blackberry apps that run over Wi-Fi
Let's solve this once and for all..
Let's face it..we need THE app.....for blackberry phones that run like any other app on its own independent security....that is ONLY wifi and that doesn't give any information to the provider of the phonethat it is really a voip app.
It should be able to open..and it literally connect directly to either all ichat, facetime, aim, skype and any other application that has an audio feature on your phone to phone application.
If they have a voip phone..it should make the call if it's an app to voip phone number..because it's also connected to the internet.
PERIOD.
We really need to think out of the box to bypass telecommunication companies and their constant cockblocking the masses.
there is a very good solution:
if you can get one of those "data day passes" for your BB, get it and have the data. then, download and install all the google apps (via whatever network you want including wifi) and they will now work even after your data services stop because the service books and host routing table entries have been entered forever. worked for me! the apps will continue to function on wifi as a mean to save data (which they were originally intended to do)
cheers!
