There are a tool that will help diagnose your Wifi connection problems, Site Survey.

Connections / Wifi Options. Menu / Wifi Diagnostics. Menu / Site Survey.

It should find all the nearby Wifi sources that are set to broadcast the SSID.

Look for you home network, then check to see if there are other networks on the same channel with a strong signal. If so, they may be causing interference and preventing a connection. The solution is to change your network to a different channel.

If Site Survey fails to find a your network, your router may be set to not broadcast your SSID. In that case, you will have to manually enter your connection information.

In fact do you have a wireless router at all?

you can have a broadband connection that's not wireless

If you haven't got a wireless router you can use your PC
