Is there a way that we can have the profanity filter pick up the word StatCounter and treat any instance of it with extreme prejudice

It's easier to prove that state counter is right than to prove god exists. You guys shouldn't bash it.

And it's just as easy to prove there exists a flying spaghetti monster orbiting the earth as it is to prove God exists. So your point is?

I have no point. I'm just trying to derail this thread to a conversation about God.

There's obviously a lot of room for error here, and I don't really like the window used here. I'd be interested in seeing a more finely gradated chart that concentrates on the last two years instead of going all the way back to 2010.

I do find it interesting that the 2013 trendline seems to hit its bottom right around the time the Q10 started selling.

So, I redid this chart with a scope of just one year.

Narrowing the scope is SLIGHTLY more useful, and I would say there actually is some very faint cause for hope on this one. It shows BB hitting a low of 2.45% of traffic back in April, which would be consistent with the mediocre launch of the Z10.

That share has since more than doubled, showing 5.44% in September. Now, with Statcounter I tend to throw out the most recent result anyway, but even August shows 5.14%, still more than double April's value.

I don't know what this means, exactly, and I don't want to read too much into it, but it does represent the most dramatic increase of any other vendor.

remember all this measures is webtraffic. So if you trade yoru 9700 in for a q10 you might be using your browser 10x more than than on the 9700. so you skew the results even though technically you where included in the count before.

Yeah I get the argument. I'm not sure that many legacy users upgraded to account for that.

I remember when you believed Blackberry would sell 6 million bb10 devices last quarter, and over 10 million by the end of the year.
    You were wrong.

I believe the bits in the earnings report where they do a $1.5 billion dollar write-down and then a year and a bit later they do another $1 billion write down - but I guess "I fink" beats that hands down.
