If Rim releases the Victory I would leave apple asap! That phone looks sweet!
The TK Victory is a winner in my book. It keeps with the BlackBerry tradition yet has a modern feel and look. The other designs are nice as well, but I'm a keypad type user :D
I hope they release a qwerty and all touch at the same time!
i think that if they want to make the biggest impact with bb10 that would be the perfect way to do it. i think the blade will definitely catch the eye of everyone as the look is totally unique and the victory is a 9900 on extreme steroids with a much better screen....total win win for everyone
I disagree
I'm a Keyboarder completely but for the BIGGEST impact of BB10, and the best strategy, RIM would launch a single ALL TOUCH BB10 device with a Furry of marketing behind the singular BlackBerry 10 Phone, showing off the sleek look and form factor that is most popular,
there would be no distraction between form factors, no way for Media to say RIM isn't with the times and still clinging to the keyboard, and no bad comparisons of a Keyboard phone vs a non keyboard phone for screen size, which always comes up but is stupid.
AFTER the launch of the first BB10 all touch phone, they then can launch a marketing campaign and Keyboard model with a We didn't forget about the Keyboard, and push the amazing keyboard, and the experience of the All touch device with the input method you love.
this would add increased exposure with advertising, doubling their review column inches over a longer period of time, a double launch will result in them being mashed together and reviewed together. they each need to stand on their own, and be a product that is desired, no confusion at each launch.
Victory / Blade for me.
The victory bold.
My only caveat if it were made is whether it feels balanced. I believe if it had the screen oriented like the 9900 and had a track pad that allowed bezel swipes it would be more balanced and functional. I think the 9900 could still look fine by today's bigger phone standards being 1/2 " wider and longer.
Blade looks cool eventhough I think it's too slim to have decent battery

I am not a designer but I dont like the Blackberry 10 Victory because it has a keyboard without sliding. Otherwise, I dont like the design at all. It looks slim but it doesn't has the looks of a quality phone. The screen in reality can't be all the way to the edge especially if its touch screen. You will accidentally press at the side.
Can some industrial engineer from Apple help design Blackberry phones please? Come out with a total new design OR imagine if Apple would to design a QWERTY phone for Apple, how would it be like?

Hey you're right! Man I remember when I first saw that movie that phone was the coolest.

At first I really liked the blade since I have the torch the touchscreen/keyboard combination is best of worlds to me, but since I saw the pictures of the victory...wow
I hope RIM is paying attention and takes advantage of these concepts, both of them are amazing!!
I would go with the blade.
The victory is a great looking phone but it looks like a blackberry. They need to stray away from that bad stigma.
If the blade comes through or anything like it it will take the world by storm I would imagine.
Most people don't like sliders but with a device that thin I don't think they would mind.
That is a phone anyone could look at and not even turn the screen on and see what a beautiful piece of hardware it is.

eve6er69, that is exactly why I chose the Blade. Blackberry's despite really good build quality, consumers don't want a phone that looks exactly like its predecessor. , its the same with any consumable good.
The Blade I chose because it doesn't follow industry conventions for sliders(longitudinal design), its slim(unlike current Torch), has a great sized screen and develops a new Blackberry look that isn't so slab like the boring looking London.
The TK Victory to me looks great, but it just looks like the next evolution of the 9000 -> 9900 and so forth. I think that form factor with the Blade design would actually be killer.
I voted for the Bold Victory, the design is amazing, along with the specs. after consideration, I now prefer the London. The all-touchscreen user interface intrigues me most. I would still want a trackpad though.
I really loved the Victory. Great name and first, a real RIM's DNA phone.
I.want.it.
Liked the blade also, but seems less realistic to me.
The TK is the perfect Bold. Gestures on a bezel thus ridding ourselves of an optical trackpad and physical navigation buttons, yet keeping the best keyboard a phone has ever seen for those of us whom some arrogant folks call "stuck in the past" because we type way faster on real keys instead of glass.
I don't feel that puppy needs a quad-core, a kicka** dual-core would be sufficient enough. At any rate, what a revolution and evolution that thing would be, all in one. A geek can dream can't he?

Personally, I would flock to the Victory first, being it's everything I love about my 9930 and more.
However, I WANT the Blade to be the first BB10 phone, with one exception.
Get rid of the keyboard slider. Just make it an all touch device. A keyboard slider version of the Blade can come out later.
It will feel/look higher quality that way and put BB ahead of the game.
I found BlackBerry Blade the prettiest looking phone.
If it doesn't have a proper keyboard it just isn't a BlackBerry.
Just my point of view.
the first to hit the market whatever it is . I'm still carrying the 9800 and I can't wait
All touch screen is the only way blackberry will survive is to let go of the past and be bold ! no more old stuff look at the new super phone from sprint ( Evo-Lte ) the spec r pretty awesome
All touch ! Be Bold out with the old in with the new
I don't think that would be a very good idea for blackberry to just drop the keyboard in general. correct me if I'm wrong here, but doesn't the majority of people on crackberry prefer the keyboard? I always see people say that they're only with blackberry for the keyboard. yes, rim does need a good bb10 touch device, but they must keep one or a couple keyboard phones. my opinion.
It's simple... The Blade! When you first see it you're just awestruck! It looks cutting edge and is a departure from the Blackberry of old. The Victory has a fatal flaw... it's screen size. It's smaller then the iPhone which is an immediate fail, not to mention it pails in size to many newer Android phones. Reviewers would kill it over this.
I agree. One of the biggest reasons I love my Blackberry is because of the keyboard.
Essentially, people equate Blackberry with keyboard.
It would be a complete fail for them to get rid of it.
