Guys, I just got this idea. What do you think if BlackBerry provides an app subscription service that we pay $10 a month just like BIS.

With this subscription, we can download all the apps we want. If the app is not available, BlackBerry will make a native app within a month or so.

If we don't subscribe to this, we can still download the app for $1 each even though the app is a free app on Android or iOS.

BlackBerry will then share this $10 a month with the telco's for collection service & it is also an incentive for them to push the BlackBerry 10 phones to users. If this service is available would you subscribe? :-)

What are the apps do you need? Snapchat? Facebook? Instagram? Else? Do you really want to pay $10 a month? On the subscriber's side, is it cost effective?

Why pay for free stuff? They already let go of much of the development team. The time has passed.

That is highly unrealistic. Some pppular services don't have public APIs to 3rd party developers can't make apps for such services (like netflix for example). Or even banking apps, I can't see banks opening APIs just for BB. Oh and there are apps that are localized to a certain country and/or city.

People seriously underestimate the difficulty and costs of developing apps. if it's such a great idea, why don't you just learn to develop such apps, post them on BBW and earn money? If the demand for BB10 apps is as great as you think it is, you should build some apps, sell them for 1$ each and earcn a good profit.
