Is it just my BlackBerry z10 or does the 10.2.1 update drain my phone battery quicker than ever before? - Newbie Crackberry User here guys

I am experiencing same. Thought that the os is settling down so would give it few days (around 3 days) and see.

One more thing, I suspect headless apps may cause issues?! Not sure.

Headless app and Android apps sap the battery something fierce. Android apps are the biggest killer.

Must be the settling down process of the new OS paired with the new Android apps which we might have downloaded.

For me, indexing really drains my battery for the first 24hrs.
If it still occur, blame your headless apps, both native and android.

It is all the apps from amazon and snap. Install task manager to kill apps on the background. You will be surprised how many android google.com extensions there are in the background

Let the OS settle in, aka finish indexing everything. I usually give it about 3-4 days to settle down. Any battery life should be counted from a week after installing the new OS for accuracy.

I just ran Taskmanager, which I installed months ago before getting the update - I think it was after 10.2.0.424 - It has not shown any open process, but when I hit the cross, it closed all running processes successfully (promped) and liberated 250 MB!!
Why didn't I see any entry? Do you suggest to install it anew? I just updated with the global release. Thanks. (I didn't create a therad for my question)

I just went 48 hours on my z30, with 2 hours remaining. This is after the update and loading at least 5 android apps. Instagram, Viber snapchat NUUO, Netflix, Engadget, amazon app store and 1mobile app. If you have a z10, and you get the chance to get a z30, do not hesitate. Unbelievable device.

I went from having to charge my phone every 5 hrs to over 12 hours. I saw the noticeable difference when I installed the leak. I even put on the 1926 radio as per the suggestions on CB. I have several Android apps and I still last all day long with moderate to heavy use.

Battery report was accurate, did not list all the apps, screen resolution is debatable as I had the z10 from inception till roughly 2 months ago. As for price, not sure if it is 3 times, but again I said if you get the chance. The z10 is a great device, however I need serious battery life.

My battery life is terrible after the update, directly after a restart my battery was at 41% 15 mins of sitting idle and it drained to 34%, at this rate my phone is useless to me.

Had the same issue with the battery drain. Yesterday I couldn't even get a full charge throughout the day and it wouldn't charge as quick. I connected my z10 to my laptop and uninstalled some apps through my bar side loading tool ddpb. I had tried installing a debug token at some point because it was still in the list of all the apps I had side loaded with this program and long story short I uninstalled a debug token bar (don't ask me how it got there i can't remember) and any other apps that were side loaded and not in use just to make sure all files were gone from my phone. Within 2 hours of doing this I already notice a bit of a difference. I'll post back if it goes back to its old ways of heavy draining.

So is there any reasonable explanation for the high CPU usage after any upgrade?
