I don't think they could go with a lower number without the end user thinking it was a downgrade. i.e. they couldn't go to the 100's again. Might go Intel's route when they went from the 486 to the Pentium.
Yeah i wonder if there will be a "10,000" device i wonder if it will be something big
Lol it would sound funny! "Introducing the Blackberry 10,970! Get it now!"

Haha yeah it sounds more of a joke then anything
probably, but me thinks after the 9000 series they will reduce the number and add letters to it, the new blackberry 200GTX will gee tee ex yo @55
The bigger question is if there is a "Blackberry 10000" which company will get it?
Probably as gbs said have letters and bumbers

They'll probably start adding letters:
Curve = C700, C750, C800
Tour = T700, T750, T800
Bold = B700, B750, B800
Storm = etc, etc, etc,
You're probably right. But how did they come up with 8900 after 9000 and how did they come up with 8520/8530 after 9520/9550?
Ewww... how about... stick with the series names?
or BlackBerry Xceptional:D
They could start using an X for the 10, Blackberry X550, Blackberry X700 etc.
Motorola anyone?
What would be better:
10K or X...
What you guys think?
i think they will continue with words. tour, storm,bold curve then numbers after that like 8330 8350i and such to give the phone a name and to which phones are more for business use and more for personal use. like the black berry 8350i doesnt have a camera. you get what im saying.
Actually, I believe they are dropping the model numbers entirely. Of course with as many as eight different Curves it would be hard to identify which one someone is referring to, but seeing that the new Storm isn't called Storm, but rather Storm2, maybe RIM will continue that trend.
I do hope though they don't mix letters with numbers; too many are using that right now.
i think they'll probably just give every device a significant name and drop the numbers
They should go Blackberry 10k, then a Blackberry 20k, and Blackberry 30k, and so on, sounds catchy to me.
Maybe they should do what Marvel and DC did and start over with #1's.
(The ultimate geek/nerd reference) lol

They'll probably do what Nvidia and ATI did with their video cards.
uhh wtf does motorola have to do with this. Keep ur 8900
I think it would be better of they started giving names to all the phones and using that instead of referring to the numbers. Like Blackberry Curve instead of 8310.
