I wanted to start this thread just to see how rare or common blackberry's are in a crackberry members immediate social circle.

Blackberries are commonplace in my life (probably because I force them down their throats - lol)

No other BlackBerry users in my family or circle of friends. In fact I haven't seen one in the wild since my friend's 9810 back in 2013.

Sister-in-law & fianc� - HTC M8's (Android)

I manage an IT team at work who use:
2x LG G3's and a Nexus 6

Our team also manages around 100 devices for users in our unit. The break down is roughly:

70% iPhones - 4S's through 6's
25% Android - LG G2's, LG G3's, Moto X's & HTC M8's
5% Windows - Lumia Icons & HTC M8's (Win)

Oddly, none of our Android folks carry a Samsung (or have asked for one since the S3's were released). In fact we had to force a bunch to upgrade recently since their old HTC's and Moto's couldn't take Android 4.x, which we needed for our Active Sync policy.

On the other hand, our iUsers can't ditch their phones fast enough when a new model is released. Apparently whenever Apple releases the new "best phone" the last "best phone" magically becomes the worst phone on the planet.

Other interesting note - when I started my job 3+ years ago, I managed ~40 devices, a couple 'droids, a couple iPhone 4's and the rest Blackberry's. We went from hosting our own Exchange server and BES 5 server to joining the University's central Exchange. They did not support BES and our BB's did not support Active Sync natively, so overnight our phone landscape changed. By the time BB10 was released, no one wanted to move back.

We have peeps here from being the ONLY BlackBerry user in their social/family circle and there are those who are completely surrounded by it.

The old it guy's response is insightful but a little depressing.

In Florida--I'm the only one with a BlackBerry that I know.

Dad and Bro got iphone5

GF has a Nokia Lumia 1020 (for the camera)

Co-workers: an iphone, Samsung S4, S5, LG G2, and a Nexus.

Other friends have an iphone5, an M8, a Motorola something from 2012, an S5 (he likes the removable battery), and a flip phone.

I've never even seen a BlackBerry in the wild since I got mine.
