When BIS checks my email (POP) does it automatically leave the original message on the server after it comes to my phone?

There is an option for reconciliation. Choose mailbox wins and email will remain on the server. That may be the default setting also but a check is in order.

All control over that happens to email is in your hands (i.e. the blackberry) If you decide to ignore it, it won't even mark as read, if you delete it, it will vanish from either the device of both device and inbox. Up to you.

BIS won't do anything you don't want it to.

The emails arrive at the inbox first, then get pushed to your device, but they won't be moved from anywhere.
