With my hotmail if i read my email with my BB it marks as read on hotmail.com...but this doesn't work with gmail.

I was wondering if there's a setting i can set to make it behave like my hotmail account. Changing the status to read after i opened with my BB.

gmail does not sync reads. Sure wish it did, though.

There's no way to do this, even with the new GMAIL IMAP? Very annoying to not sync reads. Everything viewed online shows up as unread on my BB.

Actually this should work now with new IMAP. Now if they would only update my account so I can try it out.

Yep... if you're gmail account has been updated so that you can enable IMAP, follow these instructions and you'll be good to go.

Not quite sure I'm ready yet. Read this today and it kind of deterred me from trying. I'm used to mainly using my BB for Gmail more than the pc, so having the read items and such show on Gmail isn't really that important at the moment. I'd rather get my mail quick then have to wait if IMAP really does take longer.

Yeah, it's true... I ended up dropping back to POP until they get the kinks worked out.
